  • The Morton Mystics 14U girls fastpitch travel softball team will be having tryouts on July 31 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. and August 3 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Tryouts will be at Birchwood Park in Morton.  If you have any questions, please contact Liz Ryan at 309-387-6975.
  • The Morton Mystics 16U girls fastpitch travel softball team will be having tryouts on August 4 at 5:00 p.m. and August 9 at 5:00 p.m.  Tryouts will be at Birchwood Park in Morton.  If you have any questions, please contact Mike Namanny at 309-253-2548.
  • The Morton Mystics 12U girls fastpitch travel softball team will be having tryouts on August 8 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and August 15 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Tryouts will be at Birchwood Park in Morton.  If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Opel at 309-231-6229

Congratulations to the 14U Morton Magic! They recently won the Morton 14U tournament with victories over Dee-Mack, Dunlap and Eureka.

             

They also placed 2nd at the popular East Side NSA Tournament.  After a single loss in pool play, the girls ran through the brackets before falling to East Peoria in extra innings 8-7 in the championship.

             

Congratulations to Morton Rotary! They recently won the Intermediate Division Tournament.

              

Congratulations to Heartland Bank! They recently won the Junior Division Tournament.

              

Congratulations to the 16U Morton Mystics! They recently won the Limestone Invitational Tournament.

The girls won their pool on Saturday with victories over Limestone  (5-0), lost to Chillicothe (5-4) and had an evening win over the Kewanee Bandits (10-0). Sunday's action saw victories over Jacksonville (3-1), and wins over Chillicothe in the semi-finals and championship game (2-1, 4-2).

              

Congratulations to the 10U Morton Mystics! They recently won the Washington Invitational Tournament.

The girls won their pool on Saturday with victories over NTRA  (16-1), and Watseka/Fairbury (10-1). Sunday's action saw victories over Washington (5-3), a win over NTRA in the semi-finals (3-2) and Metamora in the championship game (7-3).

              

Congratulations to the 12U Morton Mystics! They recently placed 2nd at the Limestone Invitational Tournament.

The girls won their pool on Saturday with victories over Limestone  (15-1), Pekin Lettes Gold (10-7) and the Tremont Turks (11-1). They received a first round bye on Sunday and beat Dunlap in the semi-finals (13-1). They fell short in the championship game against the Pekin Lettes Gold 9-5.

              

 

The MGSA would like to congratulate Tonya Koch (Advertising/ Sponsor Coordinator, 14U Mystics' Head Coach, league pitching coach) on her recent induction to the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame. She has been recognized with a bronze plaque displayed at the Peoria Civic Center for her pitching excellence.
