The Mission of the Morton Girls Softball Association (MGSA) is to offer softball opportunities.

The objective of the MGSA is to provide a supervised softball program that will be enjoyable, educational, and challenging for all girls within the boundaries of the Morton Park District and the Morton Community Unit School District 709 (MCUSD 709), focusing on developing skills and character through the game of softball.

The MGSA believes:

• Every girl should have the opportunity to play the game of softball.
• A positive, knowledgeable, and safe environment will help to ensure the development of softball fundamentals, game play enjoyment, and sportsmanship.
• Participating in our association will teach life lessons.
• Respect, responsibility, and resourcefulness are a must in order for each to reach their full potential.
• Possessing a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and a team first mentality will help build and sustain a successful organization.
• Having strong, knowledgeable, and confident women in the MGSA leadership positions will help develop future strong, knowledgeable, and confident women.
• Giving back to our community is vital; the MGSA strongly encourages our purchases to be from local vendors and for our program to participate in community service activities.
• The MGSA believes in community and family first. 

The MGSA will adhere to the Morton Park District Youth Affiliate Agreement. The MGSA will adhere to all Morton Park District Facility Rules. The MGSA will also establish additional Birchwood Park Facility Rules which are in effect, for the safety of participants and spectators, during all MGSA events.
