The MGSA is so fortunate to have the support of the incredible community of Morton. We can’t continue to be such a vibrant part of the community without the amazing volunteers that make this organization and our community such a special place.
When you were a child did you have a coach that had a positive impact on your life, not only in sports but as a person. Youth sports helps children develop physical skills, have fun, learn teamwork and fair play, get exercise and improves self-esteem. Now is your opportunity to be a part of the process and excitement.
We are looking for volunteers interested in helping today’s youth grow into tomorrow’s great leaders and citizens. Every year we select coaches that will lead the seasons teams. We are now accepting applications for 2024 Fall Rec head coach and assistant coaches.

2024 MGSA Fall Recreation League Registration

Recreation League Softball Divisions
Pre K - 5th grades during the 2024-2025 school year
Division Pre-K - Kindergarten
Introduction to the game of softball. A standard Tee and 9” softie-balls will be used.
Division 1 / 2 = 1st and 2nd graders.
Coach pitch. 9”-10” softie-balls.
Division 3 / 4 = 3rd and 4th graders.
Machine pitch. 11” regular softballs.
Division 5 / 6 = 5th and 6th graders.
Player pitch. 11” regular softballs.
Uniform shirts for all Rec players will be a T-shirt with a number on the back. Helmets, softie-balls, and bats provided. Fielding face masks recommended for PreK - K and Required for all other Divisions. Cleats optional.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Registration deadline is August 10th. Tuesday/Thursday practices will start August 20. Tuesday/Thursday games will be played in September and the first week of October. *There will be no games or practices Pumpkin Festival Week.
Resident Fees
$20 for T-ball
$80 for all other age groups
NonResident Fees
$40 for T-ball
$160 for all other age groups
End of season MGSA Rec and T Ball League Bowling Party at the Potter's Alley
